Meet Barbara

Barbara Harrison (Kottmeier) was born in North Vancouver, British Columbia, to an Argentinean/ Swedish father and Guatemalan mother. Barbara is an accomplished classically trained singer and dancer, who got her first taste of performing at the tender age of 4, from then on she was hooked. She went on to win numerous awards and to perform at countless events over the years including singing the national anthem at NHL, CFL and NLL games. She sang back up vocals on the Ziggy Marley song, “Beach in Hawaii” made the “top 100” in “Canadian Idol” performed in many musicals and worked as a professional dancer and teacher. She studied “Opera Performance” at the Vancouver Academy of Music and Business at Capilano University.

Her background as a singer led to her first role on the TV series, “Mysterious Ways” at the age of 16, in which she played a singer. She would then go on to appear in numerous TV and film roles over the years. In recent years she has taken a step back from the front of the camera and has been working as a voice over actor. Recent credits include voicing “Jasmin” on the hit animated TV series, Lego Dreamzzz and  “Lienda” on the Peacock TV animated series, “Supernatural Academy,” 

Her passion for music and performing led her to create, “Tots and Tunes” music classes for 0-5 yr olds, while she was on maternity leave with her first son. Flash forward 7 years and she is preparing to open “Tots” in North Vancouver in July, 2024. When she’s not working, Barbara is busy chasing after her 2 boys and husband.
